Whilst eating my noodles, I felt that they were quite hot so I blew on them for a few seconds before continuing…
I recently went for a rally training day as a present from my mum, dad, step-mum and step-dad for my 21st birthday last year.
I passed the day with a score of 92% which I was reasonably happy with. Had it been my own car, I would have gone at it a lot harder, but I was scared to wreck the Skoda I was given!
Here are just a few of the photos:
Apparently this isn’t the way you’re meant to drive on normal roads…

Unfortunately, until September (when I move into my new house) I am stuck in Robbins Halls of Residence with the UoP I really can’t express in words how much I hate this flat.
- For starters, it’s far far too small and is probably best described as a box.
- It’s on the highest floor of the tallest building that I have to walk up and down a million sets of stairs every day to get to
- It smells constantly of mildew and mould
- The windows in my room are on the ceiling and therefore are difficult to open and close and I can’t leave them open during the day as last time I did, my bed got soaked
- I’m in a flat with 7 other people instead of 5 like all the other flats in the block with 5 people who don’t speak English as a first language…
- …and the other 2 are weird, even compared to me!
- Also, 1 shower and 1 toilet between 8 is unacceptable!
I really can’t wait to get out of here. I’m so glad it’s only for another 5 weeks!

After the Canon 400D I borrowed from Smileonthetiles kept kicking up “Error 99″ at every given oportunity and the 350D I borrowed before had a sticky shutter release button, I decided to take out my own camera, my legendary 40D for a night out with SOTT.
A few days ago, I purchased camera insurance from E&L which gave me a whole wealth of things:
- Insurance for when I’m out and about
- Public liability
- In-vehicle insurance
- and more…
All for just over £4 a month, roughly £1 a week which is worth it for piece-of-mind.
I now look forward to being able to take my own camera out for SOTT. It was nice last time to have a camera that could ‘keep up’. Only thing was, after so much more use than I had with the 400D or the 350D the batteries that I used in the flashgun were as hot as hell when I took them out.
Watch out for me on a night out soon…
